In the RER, as long as you remain within the city limits, tickets and prices are identical to the metro (RER stations also have their own ticket offices and machines). If you are travelling beyond the city limits, you need to ensure that you are in possession of a ticket or a pass which covers your whole journey up to your destination in the Ile-de-France region. If not, you will not be able to go through the automatic barriers on arrival and you may be liable to a fine. The RER ticket also covers your journey and any connections within Paris (zones 1 and 2), on your outward and return journeys.

Either way, though, you get skip-the-line tickets for the Paris Catacombs that allow you to enter at your set entry time rather than waiting in line to buy tickets and then waiting again for your turn to enter. Knowing exactly when your visit starts also allows you to better plan the rest of your sightseeing that day.

Tickets can be purchased through the official website for the catacombs, but unfortunately those tickets are nonrefundable. Instead, we recommend booking through this link for advance tickets, as these tickets cost almost the same price and allow you to cancel up to 24 hours in advance and receive a full refund.

The Paris Catacombs are open every day of the week except for Mondays. The site is closed for certain public holidays, including January 1, May 1, and December 25. Opening hours for the catacombs are from 9:45 to 20:30, with the last tickets sold an hour before closing. During summer, hours may be extended into the evening.

One of the key things to understand is that there are two options for tickets on the official website. The main one is for advance tickets, which you can book several months in advance. However, there is also the option to book last-minute visits the day you wish to visit from the small number of tickets to the Paris Catacombs made available.

The cost of tickets to the Paris Catacombs depends on which type of ticket you end up purchasing. Advance tickets are more expensive than last-minute tickets as they allow you to guarantee entry ahead of time and include an audio guide.

With all this information, you should have everything you need to plan an enjoyable experience in the catacombs. The most important thing to remember is that skip-the-line Paris Catacombs tickets are a great way to make the most of your time there.

To access the Palace, all visitors must book a time slot. Due to the high number of visitors, admission to the Palace within half an hour of the booked time slot can only be guaranteed for tickets purchased online.

By buying tickets or hospitality packages outside the official channels, the buyer runs the risk that tickets or packages are not delivered to them or are cancelled by the Paris 2024 Organising Committee in accordance with the terms and conditions. In addition, all buyers are informed that unauthorised sale or re-sale of tickets outside the official channels constitutes an offence under French law.

The Oui SNCF website has changed its name to SNCF Connect. The services offered for booking train tickets remain the same, via a new user interface. In addition, a new offer to purchase daily tickets is now available on the SNCF Connect website (TER and Navigo season tickets, etc.).

The trains available on the site connect most of the major French cities and allow you to easily cross France. With SNCF Connect, travelling to major European cities has never been easier. You will find tickets for numerous European train companies such as Eurostar, TGV Lyria, Thalys or RENFE. This means you can easily travel to the UK, Germany, Italy, Spain or Switzerland.

Offer reserved for holders of the "Carte avantage", and a companion over 12 years old for holders of the Avantage Adulte card 27-59 years old. Reduction calculated, excluding additional paid services, on the PREM'S, SECONDE, PREMIÈRE fare and the Full SECONDE and PREMIÈRE fare for trains with compulsory reservation (TGV INOUI and INTERCITÉS, excluding OUIGO) and on the "Normal" fare for INTERCITÉS trains without reservation required for tickets valid for 7 days. Discounts applicable on the national territory.

OUIGO is the low-cost, high-speed train service operated by the French national train company SNCF. Despite having only one class on board, OUIGO trains offer the same comfort as Second Class seats on TGV trains, although OUIGO tickets are only available to purchase online. To make your journey as smooth as possible, arrive at least 30 minutes before departure and bear in mind that there's an additional fee for bringing a suitcase with you, having a seat with power sockets and travelling with a stroller/buggy.

Most of the train companies across Europe release their tickets around three to six months in advance, many of which can be cheaper the earlier you book. If you know the dates you want to travel, you may be able to find some cheaper train tickets from Paris to Nice by booking early.

To buy tram tickets, you can find a vending machine at each tram stop. Before your journey, you need to validate the ticket inside the tram or on the platform before boarding. Please note that tickets cannot be purchased from the driver.

Train tickets from Paris to Nice can start from as little as CHF 19.88 when you book in advance and are usually more expensive when purchased on the day. Prices can also vary depending the time of day, route and class you book.

In 2019 Paris introduced a ticket card called Navigo Easy which holds digital single-use Paris Metro tickets. Holding up to 30 Paris Metro tickets, a Navigo Easy ticket card can be reloaded and used over a period of ten years. Navigo Easy also holds Navigo Day Passes and tickets for Roissybus and Orlybus.

As the Ticket Mobilis can be purchased on one day and used someday in the future you must print the date of use on the ticket before use. To prevent people sharing tickets, first and last names are also required.

Note: Ticket Mobilis day pass is now valid for Paris CDG Airport and Paris Orly Airport where previously (2017 & prior) Ticket Mobilis was only valid for airports by using Paris airport bus 350 or Paris airport bus 351 for CDG Airport and buses 183 or 285 or Tram 7 for Orly Airport. (Non-express city buses means 2x-3x travel time.) This means that RER B train, Roissybus, Orlybus are all now valid for the Mobilis day ticket. (Orlyval train is still excluded from use of any multi-use ticket except Paris Visite.) This changed when the Navigo Day Pass was introduced which did cover CDG Airport / Orly Airport (granted you purchase 1-5 zones and 1-4 zones, respectively) and cost the same as a Ticket Mobilis 1-5 zone cards. It would have been an awkward situation to have two multi-use day tickets/passes, Navigo Day and Ticket Mobilis both costing the same price but not providing the same access to airports, so the RATP decided to make both equal in terms of coverage.

Multi-day tickets aimed at tourists and visitors are known as the Paris Visite, available in 3 zone and 5 zone versions, for 1, 2, 3 or 5 day lengths. Prices for duration and zones are as follows (updated as of Jan 1, 2023):

Within a Paris Metro station, Paris Metro tickets (but not all pass cards) can always be purchased from automated vending Metro ticket machines. You can buy Paris Metro cards / day / week passes from any Metro station ticket window, but only a few multiday Paris Metro cards can be bought through Paris Metro ticket machines such as the Paris Visite card and Ticket Mobilis day ticket. 041b061a72
